Notes: I do remember this one, despite losing my film with the pictures of it. If you haven't been to any of the Rock locations, you should. These are like a pizzaria version of The Ram, serving up quality (but hardly challenging) beer with excellent food, while making for a great hangout to watch whatever game or as part of a singles scene. While "The Rock" is dedicated to rock music, this location shows it better than the original in Tacoma. All of the menus are class rock record covers, and the restaurant is full of rock memorabilia.
The typical beer lineup might be a bit pedestrian, but that shouldn't stop a serious enthusiast from popping in for a seasonal beer. Rock's seasonals are on par with the best in Washington. I was surprised with what I found on a follow-up visit on 25 January 2007 when I tried the Dark Side of the Moon Dunkleweizen, the Lunatic Fringe Triple X, and the Lite My Fire. The dunkleweizen was wheaty, lightly roasty, and citrusy all at the same time, making it a smooth and easy winter quaffer. The Lite My Fire proved that a low carb beer doesn't have to taste bad, and the Lunatic Fringe is for those who like high hop content with lots of citrusy notes.
