The McMenanins establishments are a quality chain of breweries, brewpubs, and bars along with hotels and theaters in some locations, and they all serve good food. Most of their beer is tailored for a common palate, but they come out with some really inspiring beers now and then. Even though every McMenamins location has a similar low-light, chic-looking bar and, in some cases, restaurant, each really has its own local theme. This includes the beers, which are pretty much the same at every location, but with different names to match the theme of that particular location. Because McMenamins doesn't make it clear which beers are the same, but with different names, I might have reviewed the same beer several times without knowing it.
This was my first McMenamins, and not a bad one at that. This particular one is a popular hangout in Seattle.
