| Notes: | Located near the University of Arizona, Gentle Ben's attracts a lot of co-eds. So, it would be no surprise if the brewers tailored their beer for a more common palate, but, surprisingly, there are some really adventurous offerings. If you like the current trend in brewing to produce very pale ales and IPAs with big citrusy/grapefruity hop profiles, Gentle Ben's Copperhaed Pale and Ben's IPA will do the trick. Of course, the brewery offers the Taylor Jane's Raspberry for those who want a beer that tastes almost nothing like a beer, and the Tucson Blonde as a "starter beer" which tastes more like buttermilk biscuits. Oddly, both the raspberry and blonde still offer some intrigue despite being beer for the masses. |
