This brewpub has been awarded Large Brewpub of the Year honors twice at the Great American Beer Festival, and yet, I just didn't feel awed by the beers I had that day. Granted, I was virtually a beer enthusiast virgin when I visited, and I think Elysian is a top-notch place, but I just don't think of it as highly as I do Big Time, Rogue, and Fish. I've since expanded my palate, and I have to say that the beers listed here deserve much better ratings (I now think that almost all of them deserve a 4 for overall flavor, which is the fifth digit in the seven digit score). If you do come across a seasonal beer, make sure to try it! Their seasonals are the most impressive of the beers they offer. The food is on par with some of the better restaurants in the area, so stay for a bite if you can.
