| Notes: | The Bistro is situated in a downtown shopping area, and the style is pretty common for a brewery/restaurant. They only had three beers on tap, and I think they did well with two of them. The third beer, Shopkeeper's Stout, had a sour, vinegaresque flavor suggesting that it sat way too long. It's not uncommon for smaller places with tighter budgets to sell an old beer long past its due date, and I think that's what happened here, considering the stout is generally a winter beer and I was sampling it in June. I also noted a plastic-like flavor in this beer, too, further suggesting the age of this beer and/or possibly bad sanitation. |
